FOR PARENTS

Become your child’s best advocate.

What is a
Parent Navigator?

A Parent Navigator is someone that helps families navigate the complicated landscape of educational support and advocate for their child’s needs.

Your child’s unique situation deserves a unique solution tailored to them. I intently and empathetically listen to parents, providers, schools, and other professionals to hear what needs must be met. Out of those conversations, I synthesize all of this information, boil it down to the key ideas and concepts, and identify your child’s strengths and areas of concern. Then, I communicate and create in the clearest and most concise way, a clear path forward.

I will help you build the tools, confidence and supportive environment so you are able to do what you need to do to help your child.

Ultimately, I empower and educate parents to take the lead in helping their child reach their fullest potential.

Why should you hire a Parent Navigator?

  • I can support your efforts to seek answers to the root causes of academic, emotional, and/or social struggles.

  • I can help you understand and navigate the numerous hurdles necessary to getting your child the most appropriate help and support.

  • I can identify helping professionals within the community and facilitate collaboration with these talented individuals.

  • I can help you understand evaluations for your child.

  • I can alleviate you feeling overwhelmed by the communication demands, meetings, and details of special education services.

  • I can provide support and expert knowledge of the available resources and processes, all while staying objective in the pursuit of the best options.

A Parent’s Point-of-View

“Thank you Stacey! I do truly appreciate your support. I really couldn't get anywhere without your help with the school. I tried negotiating to have him placed on an IEP for years. All these years without gaining any real success! You helped identify the real issues, the ones which really required help. You made it abundantly clear to the school, the need for an IEP.”
